I am drawn to clay because I love how it feels, how it responds to my touch. It’s like dancing with a partner, how we react to gestures and movements, both apparent and subtle. When I work on my pieces, a particular curve or a shadow may catch my attention and take us in a different direction.  My work is ultimately about our relationships with each other and with the world around us.
